Amanda’s sister blows into the Bay, but this ain’t no happy family reunion…
Everyone has an axe to grind when it comes to their sucky siblings, right? Whether it’s your little bro who drives you crazy with his dumb sporting obsessions or your big sister who doesn’t understand exactly why football IS life, your family members often blow. But how far is too far when it comes to sweet revenge? According to Amanda Vale’s sister Kelli, there ain’t no limits! Just when Mandy finally gets her life back on track in the arms of now-he’s-dead-now-he’s-not Peter Baker, it’s back to the downhill spiral she’s so familiar with. So what’s the deal with Kelli Vale?
“She’s obviously a disturbed young lady!” laughs Alexa Ashton, the easy-going actress who brings the latest and greatest Summer Bay villainess to life. “She tends to freak me out a bit. She doesn’t get satisfied with anything she does.”
Indeed. This girl isn’t looking for revenge by short-sheeting Amanda’s bed – she begins her reign of terror by kidnapping firecracker Belle Taylor, just to mess with Amanda! And that’s only the beginning... You’ll have to stay tuned to discover exactly why Kelli is back for revenge (but considering Amanda’s involved, we’re sure it’s pretty bad), and Alexa confirms her character never forgave Amanda for what happened in the past. “She’s back to confront Amanda.”
The interesting thing about the chaos Kelli causes is the way fans will see Amanda – usually the perpetrator, not the victim, of such schemes – in a whole new light. “It will be interesting to see if they really root for her or are on Kelli’s side,” agrees Alexa. “I’m not sure… Kelli’s still pretty insane.”
But while things are pretty tense on the small screen, Alexa reveals she can’t get enough of being the bad girl of the Bay. “I had a lot of fun with Ethan Black, who plays my boyfriend. I got to slap him in public the other day – evil characters get to do that stuff, it’s great!” she says. “I also had a lot of fun with Amanda, being evil and breaking into hotel rooms and burning things. I had a big confrontation with my mother the other day which was cool - she’s a force to be reckoned with. It’s very fun to play an evil one!”
From a background in theatre, music and dance, Home and Away is Alexa’s first TV acting gig, an experience that she says is very different to being on the stage. “Seeing yourself onscreen is also a little bit freaky,” she grins. “Weird, very weird”. And like so many other members of the close-knit cast, names the people as the best thing about the job. “Everyone’s been really helpful in teaching me,” she enthuses.
But as Belle faces the horror of being kidnapped, we’re just getting started with this crazy girl’s evil plans. “At the moment it’s just heading towards darkness and I have no idea how it’s going to end up,” says Alexa with a twinkle in her eye. “There’s gonna have to be a backlash so keep watching – somehow, someone’s gotta get even with this Kelli chick”

because Amanda is mean and thats how her sister will be too, but I
don't think Amanda is that mean , she has changed, she is having fun
in her life until her siter came in. This is So COOL!
